At the January Parish Council meeting, interest was expressed in Parishioners being able to take part in the planting of The Queen’s Green Canopy – Plant a Tree For The Jubilee. The National Star College has been donated saplings by the Woodland Trust and would welcome volunteers from the parish to help with the planting. The planting will take place next Saturday, 12th March at the college. The planting will be taking place between 10.00am and 1.00pm and volunteers are asked to arrive for 10, 11 or 12-o-clock and can stay for the whole period or just an hour as they wish. They will need to bring their own spade. Light refreshments will be provided.
