In addition to the local Parish Council, Coberley is also served and governed by the Cotswold District Council and the Gloucestershire County Council.
In broad terms, the District Council administers the Parish Council funding, elections, conduct etc; planning applications and permissions; waste collections, whilst the County Council is responsible for the highways.

Cotswold District Council Waste Collection Information
Cotswold District Council (CDC) will be making significant changes to its waste and recycling service for all residents in 2020. Check for more details here on CDC’s web site, including FAQ’s.
These changes will include the introduction of a separate weekly food waste service; the replacement of weekly garden waste collections with a fortnightly service and an expansion of the existing recycling service to accept more materials. There will also be a change to the collection dates for many residents.
The changes will take effect from March 2020

Cotswold District Council Budget Consultation 2020/21
Cotswold District Council (CDC) is holding a budget consultation during January to gather as many views from residents and businesses as possible to help inform Council ahead of making a decision on the budget in February. The consultation will run for three full weeks from Monday, 6th January to Sunday 26th January.
