Coberley Village Fete & Produce Show takes place on August Bank Holiday Monday 28th

Coberley Village Fete & Produce Show 2023

Fun for all the family in a beautiful rural setting

The only place to be on August Bank Holiday Monday is Coberley Village Fete & Produce Show.

There will be something to attract all the family in the grounds of Coberley C of E Primary School, – stalls with cakes, plants and produce, pre-loved clothes and soft toys, cream teas, a BBQ and bar, games to challenge children and adults, and a grand raffle which will offer some very exciting prizes!

A silver band will be entertaining during the afternoon and there will be some visitors from the charming Cotswold Alpaca herd, with demonstrations of the ancient art of alpaca fleece spinning running alongside.

And your family dogs can join in too! The ever-popular Dog Show will be a focal point once again for your pooches to compete for various rosettes.

Even better, – there’s a special raffle to win a pastel portrait of your beloved pet – whatever type of animal that might be! – to be created by highly-talented local artist, Rachael White (https://rawportraitart.co.uk/) who will have some of her work on display beside the Dog Show ring during the afternoon.

The Produce, Art & Handicraft Show will be laying down the challenge to amateur gardeners, food and handicraft producers, photographers and artists to come up with trophy-winning entries to fill its marquee and wow the judges.

Fete Co-Organiser, Lindsay Baker commented “Our 2022 Fete saw an enthusiastic response from the community and was the most successful to date. A lot of hard work is going in from the team to make this one even better!”

Mary Hayward, who is organising the Produce, Art & Handicraft Show added “We hope that there will be a high number of entries for the Produce Show to compete for the many challenge trophies in a wide range of categories, – from vegetables and flowers to preserves and cakes, from handicrafts to painting and photography. We welcome entries from across the Parish and beyond!”

Ample parking is provided in the immediately adjacent field, with reserved disabled parking and there is good wheelchair access.

All funds raised will go towards the upkeep of St Giles’ Church in Coberley.
